Karen is a highly effective Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience co-creating healing and growth with her clients. Karen offers mental health services to clients who are seriously committed to fully participating in their therapy journey through intensive counseling. Clients who are ready, willing, and able to commit to themselves to allow time for their personal growth, what Karen often refers to as “sacred soul work”. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts double degree in Psychology and Sociology; a Master’s degree in Education: Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Superior; and a Master’s of Arts degree in Leadership & Learning ~ Organizational Development from Jacksonville University. For thirty some years, Karen has dedicated herself to “the human service field” assisting others in finding ways to live their healthiest most fulfilled inspired lives. “My mission is to lovingly guide others in co-creating growth and healing in the mental health areas they wish to explore. I’m committed to honoring each person’s unique sacred therapeutic journey.”

Private Pay Rates: $135 per hour for Individual Sessions and $150 per hour for Couples Sessions

Karen has further received training in EMDR and can provide EMDR for a full range of struggles with a specific focus on use with patients who struggle with persistent symptoms of Trauma, PTSD, and CPTSD.
Karen is working on obtained training and approval to become a qualified supervisor for Registered Mental Health Interns in the state of Florida.
Karen continues to pursue training, continuing education, and experience in a variety of methods, modalities, and techniques. She regularly attends conferences and trainings with a special interest of the inclusion of nature in therapeutic practices.
Karen has the added benefit, that puts her apart from other therapists, of having an animal assistant. She will pick from a variety of methods listed below to tailor the experience of therapy to the individual needs of the clients who she works with. Alongside of her will also be her trusted animal assistant Obi. Karen and Obi make a dynamic team to help put people at ease from the moment that they walk in.
